With extensive experience and proven versatility in terminal support, Seaways has diversified its activities into core Marine Terminal support, and is proud to be the lead service provider of terminal marine operations for an IOC. This turnkey project includes the provision of high-specification support vessels, customized for their specific duties with mezzanine decks for additional support craft and diving operations. The vessels are engaged in export tanker and field support duties including inspection/maintenance of Terminal hose systems.
The DP2 classed vessels also have a purpose-fit design for all the floating hose interventions (both planned and unplanned) including hose flushing, hose change outs, maintenance activities and pressure testing.
In addition to being equipped with Class approved offshore cranes, the vessels provide multi-function services equipped with Fire-fighting, Oil Spill Response and Safety Standby Rescue capabilities. In addition, the vessels have installed on them a terminal work boat with davit and 2 davit launched rapid response craft (RRC) boats for terminal assistance.
We continue to support deep water projects through the provision of Cargo Barges & Towing Tug services for IOC clients. This tug & barge combination is extremely versatile and offers a comprehensive solution capable to support the critical loading and project requirement needs.
This project scope includes transportation of high value subsea structures (x-trees, jumpers, modules, manifolds) from ports to offshore operational areas.
The self-ballastable barge SW23 involved in this project is designed and catered to such environments which require expeditious and intricate ballast operations.
Using our experience in West Africa, we have developed, alongside Damen, a new design of fast crew-supplier vessels (FCS) purpose-built to support Offshore Terminal Operations. Three of our newly built FCS, Seaways 25, Seaways 26 and Seaways 27 are now working on term contracts for an IOC, providing in-field passenger transfer services.
This proven Damen – modified Axe Bow design enables our FCS to provide safe and comfortable travel at higher speeds while also permitting the safe transfer of personnel on an offshore boat-landing. These FCS operate at an economic speed of 30 knots, are fitted with an EFMS (Electronic Fuel Monitoring System), and furthermore as part of the new design elements, they have strengthened mooring fittings (2T capacity) and a mooring capstan (1.7T), which serve as valuable assistance to support with hose clearing and handling.
To facilitate an economical and superior 24 x 7 operational endurance, a crew accommodation is placed on board, thereby saving our clients considerable expenses by not having a requirement for crew to stay ashore and incur hotel and meal expenses.
In addition, for passenger comfort, these FCS are fitted with reclining business class seating for 30 persons and are fitted with full VSAT (including Wi-Fi for passengers).
